Job Summary
Join our mission-driven YMCA team as a Swim Instructor, where you will teach swim skills to kids and adults, helping them gain confidence in the water. This entry-level position requires no prior experience as we provide free training and certification. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with diverse youth and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and meet certain physical qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Must successfully complete the YMCA’s Aquatics Academy training program resulting in certification
- Meets physical qualifications required for certification in job
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification YMCA Swim Lessons or ARC Water Safety Instructor
- CPR, First Aid, AED and Oxygen certification
- Passion for working with diverse youth
- Ability to provide high-quality instruction using age-appropriate practices
