Job Summary
Instructs swimming lessons, develops lesson plans, and builds authentic relationships with parents and students to communicate accomplishments and program information. Maintains records, attends trainings, and performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Requires ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques, and to lift equipment and assist children as needed. Pay is hourly; duties focus on aquatics instruction and youth development within the YMCA environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school level education (over 16+ years of age)
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- AED
- Basic First Aid certification
- Emergency Oxygen
- Current YMCA Swim Instructor certification OR training provided.
