Job Summary
Swim Instructor role at SafeSplash Swim Schools focused on delivering high-quality instruction using SafeSplash curriculum to children across weekdays, weeknights, and weekends. Responsibilities include teaching swimming skills, providing constructive feedback to students and parents, structuring classes for effective learning, tracking student progression daily, conducting monthly parent sessions, and maintaining safety and class management per curriculum. Requires CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or obtainable within 30 days), completion of SafeSplash curriculum training within 30 days, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, comfortable around water and with children, and preferred prior swim experience. On-site location in Bellmore, NY with part-time hours (10+ hours/week) and flexible scheduling. Reports to School Leadership; training and benefits provided.
Required Qualifications
- CPR/AED and First Aid for Adult, Child, and Infant Certification or (must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment; (training available)
- Completion of SafeSplash curriculum training within the first 30 days of employment
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in and around water for extended periods
- Comfortable working with children for extended periods
- Prior swim experience is preferred
