Job Summary
Teach swim lessons to children and adults using British Swim School's progressive curriculum, focusing on survival techniques to decrease drowning. Support the Aquatics Leader and/or Business Owner while maintaining certifications throughout employment. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, standing in water for up to five consecutive hours in moderate to high noise environments. Complete all required Aquatics-specific training and testing. This role empowers instructors to make a substantial community impact by ensuring safety for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, equivalent, or in the process of completion.
- Enthusiastic personality.
- Comfortable in and around the water.
- Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
- Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.
- Work evenings (3pm-7pm), weekends (8am- 1pm), and holidays as required by business needs.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children.
- Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required.
- Customer service skills: 1 year preferred.
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training).
