Job Summary
Instruct swimming lessons for children and adults following the British Swim School aquatics program, maintaining certifications throughout employment. Report directly to the Aquatics Manager or Business Owner, interact with swimmers and parents, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Operate in moderate to high noise levels while in the water for the duration of the shift. This role supports a mission to combat child drowning statistics by providing a life-saving learning experience within a fast-growing, culture-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, equivalent, or in the process of completion.
- Enthusiastic personality.
- Comfortable in and around the water.
- Must maintain certifications throughout the length of employment.
- Must complete all required British Swim School Aquatics-specific training and testing.
- Work a flexible schedule that may include evenings (3pm-7pm), weekends (8am- 1pm), and holidays as required by business needs.
- Work in an environment where noise levels are usually moderate to high and be in the water for the duration of the shift.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children.
- Swimming experience: 1-2 years preferred but not required.
- Customer service skills: 1 year preferred
- Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certification(s) preferred (but can be obtained during training)
