Job Summary
Instructs swimming lessons for both adults and children, evaluates swimmers’ levels, teaches life skills, promotes and sells aquatics programs, and maintains a safe, clean pool environment. Requires Lifeguard certifications (StarGuard Elite), CPR/First Aid, ability to swim 25 yards, and the physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs; role includes responding to member questions and ensuring a positive aquatics experience. Required Qualifications
- Education: Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
- Lifeguard certification (StarGuard Elite or equivalent)
- BLS CPR and First Aid Certification (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year)
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to bend to lift 20 lbs or more
- Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services
- Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for extended periods
- For Canada: Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C
- Swim lesson instruction or coaching experience (preferred)
- Completion of Life Time courses upon hire
