Job Summary
Conduct swim instruction using the Goldfish Swim School curriculum and enforce safety rules to prevent accidents. Develop confident and capable swimmers through positive reinforcement while helping create the Golden Experience for families and staff. Provide one-on-one coaching and supervision in a 90-degree pool environment. Shifts include weekday mornings, weekday evenings, and weekends. Starting pay is $19–$21 per hour based on specialty training. Paid training covers all safety certifications, including Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid.
Required Qualifications
- Willingness to obtain/maintain current Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications within 60 days of hire
- High energy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with children preferred: child care, camp counselor, coach, or mentor
- Prior experience as lifeguard preferred, but not required
- Swimming experience preferred not required - we will teach you!
- Passionate about working with children of all ages and ability levels!
- A willingness to learn and grow!
