Job Summary
Teach engaging swim lessons for students of all ages and skill levels, from infants through adults. Build confidence while helping swimmers develop water safety and swimming skills, adapting methods to meet individual needs. Create a positive, supportive, and energetic atmosphere by ensuring a safe learning environment through constant supervision and following all safety procedures. Communicate professionally with parents and swimmers to celebrate progress and provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with fellow instructors to deliver an exceptional experience for every family.
Required Qualifications
- Loves working with children while feeling equally comfortable teaching teens and adults
- Has a genuine passion for helping others learn, grow, and build confidence
- Brings positive energy and enthusiasm to every shift
- Is self-motivated, dependable, and takes initiative without needing constant direction
- Thrives in a supportive, team-oriented environment where everyone works together
- Has excellent communication and customer service skills
- Is patient, encouraging, and able to connect with swimmers of all personalities and abilities
- Enjoys creating a fun, engaging learning experience while maintaining professionalism
- Is committed to providing outstanding service to every member and guest
- Must be able to work in the water for extended periods and comfortably demonstrate swimming skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching swim lessons, coaching, lifeguarding, childcare, education, or working with youth
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
- Willingness to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
- Lifeguard certification
