Job Summary
Deliver swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum with consistency, energy, and a focus on student growth. Enforce safety rules and regulations on the pool deck daily to prevent accidents, while accurately evaluating student progress and completing skill evaluations on time. Connect with parents and guardians after lessons to share updates, celebrate wins, and address concerns. Use creative problem-solving to help students work through challenges, and maintain all pool equipment including lane lines. Assist with light cleaning duties such as deck mopping, window washing, and trash removal as needed. Available for evening and weekend shifts; regularly exposed to heat, humidity, and chlorine.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable, upbeat, and ready to show up with energy every shift.
- Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports coach, camp counselor, or childcare provider, or similar.
- Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
Desired Qualifications
- Eagerness to obtain a Lifeguard certification and a desire to grow.
- Comfortable and confident in the water - swimming experience strongly preferred.
