Job Summary
Instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. Educate students on safety rules to prevent accidents, evaluate their progress, and complete required paperwork. Communicate student development with parents and caregivers while using problem-solving skills to resolve challenges. Maintain pool equipment, manage lane lines and class materials, and perform light cleaning duties such as window washing and deck mopping. Attend occasional mandatory workshops and fulfill other assigned responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work with children
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED certification class
- Ability to perform job functions in a warm, humid setting and chlorinated pool
- Ability to lift
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to demonstrate curriculum skills
- Ability to perform in-water rescues
