Job Summary
Provides direct leadership, instruction, and motivation for students in swimming classes following YMCA guidelines; maintains a safe environment and enforces pool rules; builds authentic relationships with students and parents and encourages parent involvement; communicates information on aquatics programs and schedules; maintains attendance and progress records; attends staff trainings; trains and supervises class aides; willing to accept additional duties beyond those listed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age 15
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer
- AED
- Basic First Aid
- Emergency Oxygen
- YMCA Swim Instructor certification or equivalent
