Job Summary
Teach safe, effective small group and private swim classes for members across various age groups, adhering to Active Wellness instructional guidelines. Plan lessons, select drills, evaluate student progress, and demonstrate skills while correcting performance and minimizing fear. Maintain a safe, positive environment by assisting with water quality testing, equipment maintenance, and emergency care. Administer CPR/First Aid as needed, communicate student progress to students or parents, and keep accurate records for course completion. Work as part of a team, attend in-service trainings and site meetings, and handle incident reporting. Perform routine maintenance, keep the center stocked and clean, and promote wellness center services.
Required Qualifications
- AED/CPR/First Aid Certified
- Proof of citizenship or legal status
- Ability to stand for several hours in a same shift
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Must follow OSHA and Active Wellness safety standards
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be organized
- Must be highly responsive
