Job Summary
Adapt existing course content for an online Swedish course targeting speakers of other languages using pedagogical expertise. Review, edit, and proofread pedagogical materials in Swedish, occasionally consulting on pedagogy to leverage native speaker knowledge. Help streamline the content development process while working remotely with flexible hours of 12-15 weeks per week. This temporary freelance role supports Duolingo's mission to make education universally available to its 500 million users.
Required Qualifications
- Native speaker level proficiency in Swedish
- Several years of experience teaching Swedish as a second language
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Comfort working in digital tools such as Google Docs and spreadsheets
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work up to 15 hours per week through mid-October
