Job Summary
The SWAT RN Level II is responsible for providing direct nursing care to assigned patients while adhering to the Texas Nursing Practice Act. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to deliver effective patient care, practicing within established standards and ethical guidelines. Essential responsibilities include ensuring current competence in nursing skills, maintaining certifications, and meeting specific training requirements while embodying the core values of compassion, advocacy, respect, excellence, and stewardship.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the State of Texas
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) continuously maintained
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- National Certification in specialty must be attempted within 4 years of hire date for eligible role
- Advanced Specialty Courses (ASC) according to Attachment A
Additional Requirements
- Must complete Advanced Specialty Courses (ASC) within specified timeframes
- Must maintain competencies in nursing practice according to service line
