Job Summary
Conduct structured evaluations of AI chatbots and language models by interacting directly with them to assess capabilities, safety, and helpfulness. Perform voice-based interactions where sessions are recorded for deliverables, or submit written ratings, write-ups, and screenshots based on assigned goals and prompts. Complete tasks defined in specific Statements of Work, which may vary by project. Engage as an independent contractor on an iterative, task-based schedule with flexible hours. Submit work within 48 hours of onboarding and pass required language proficiency assessments. This role supports Productive Playhouse's mission to preserve languages and improve how AI understands Swahili through direct user interaction.
Required Qualifications
- Native or expert-level fluency in Swahili, as spoken in Kenya
- Strong English reading, writing, and communication skills
- 18 years of age or older
- Hands-on experience using AI models or large language models
- Comfortable with both written and voice-based conversation
- Able to pass a language proficiency assessment and AI evaluation task
- Responsive communicator
- Able to start within 48 hours
- Independent contractor engagement (task-based - project-based)
- Work from anywhere, on your own schedule
- Your own smartphone, computer, reliable internet, and comfort with web-based tools
