Job Summary
Develop Controls algorithms based on Predicting Driver intent and integrate Lateral control algorithms with Longitudinal control algorithms. Build Predictive information algorithms using Cloud data and facilitate Data analysis and tools development for visualization and calibration. Perform Simulation to predict/analyze performance, bench test, and use rapid prototyping tools for system development. Provide technical leadership for projects incorporating complex electromechanical systems and help in development of ADAS functions. Stay abreast of new ADAS technology, sensors, and functions. This hybrid position at Nexteer Automotive requires a Masters degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering and includes 40 hours per week with no travel.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Automotive Systems, or a related field
- Experience with Signal Analysis, such as Frequency Analysis & Fourier Transforms, in Control Systems
- Experience with Stability Analysis in Control Systems
- Experience with Vehicle Chassis Design & Dynamics (CarSim)
- Experience with Automotive Powertrain Design
- Experience with Computer Vision
- Experience with Hybrid Electric Powertrain Theory
- Experience with MATLAB & Simulink Software
- Experience with Path Planning Algorithms
- Experience with Automotive System Integration of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, and Software components
- Experience with Algorithm Deployment to Embedded Systems
- Experience with Simulation Programs to Test Algorithms, Model Sensors, and Create Physics-Based Interactions
- Must have legal right to work in U.S.
