Job Summary
Senior Vice President, Strategic Communications based in New York, NY or Washington, DC, leads crafting and executing cutting-edge, multi-channel communication strategies for clients ranging from corporate leaders to advocacy groups. Owns large client engagements, guides cross-functional teams, ensures resources and budgets are managed, and serves as a senior advisor on strategy, messaging, media engagement, and reputation management. Drives content strategy, narrative development, and integrated storytelling; orchestrates collaboration across strategic communications, data, creative, and paid media; leads talent development, performance reviews, and cross-team alignment. Responsible for end-to-end project execution, shaping client outcomes, and identifying new opportunities to grow client relationships and firm capabilities. The role operates in a hybrid model requiring in-office presence around 50% of working days and involves leadership in business development and cross-functional coordination to deliver high-quality, measurable client impact.
Required Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant experience in marketing communications, marketing performance analytics, digital media measurement (earned or owned), social media measurement, market research, or related fields. Prior agency experience a strong plus.
- Direct client management experience.
- Experience managing and guiding junior talent.
- Experience working with multiple clients at the same time.
