Job Summary
SVP of Property Operations overseeing a large regional portfolio of multifamily properties across multiple states, leading Regional Vice Presidents, and partnering with senior leadership to achieve financial, operational, and resident-satisfaction goals. Responsible for developing and executing operational strategies to drive portfolio growth and long-term client partnerships, presenting data-driven recommendations, and serving as executive sponsor for client relationships. Requires interaction with owner representatives, asset managers, and internal teams; visits portfolios to assess conditions and ensure alignment with client business plans; and collaboration with risk management and corporate support to optimize systems, processes, and SOPs. Strong emphasis on leadership, strategic problem-solving, budget awareness, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years in an operational leadership role; experience in real estate and property management strongly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership abilities
- Strategic problem-solving abilities
- Able to direct the work of others and coach/train
- Strong knowledge and understanding of budget management and expense control
- Strong knowledge of multifamily operations, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes
- Proven ability to manage and expand senior-level client relationships
- Must be willing and able to travel
