Job Summary
Manage and provide quality service to AJG clients and agents, ensuring account retention and revenue growth through active pursuit of new business opportunities with retail brokers and partners. Oversee the property broking team's day-to-day activities, including assigning accounts, managing workflows, and conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify program issues. Lead client renewal processes, negotiate favorable terms with Bermuda carriers, and develop customized insurance solutions while mentoring junior brokers and recruiting new talent. Collaborate with the Managing Director to establish strategic initiatives, drive cross-sell activity, and execute sales plans aligned with company goals.
Required Qualifications
- Robust knowledge of general insurance (Bermuda Market and London Market / Lloyd's and Industry desirable) products and services including underlying legal principles and practices
- Experienced knowledge of insurance classes and EBITAC principles
- Good understanding of general insurance product lines and risk management essential for advisory remit
- Previous insurance and risk management experience desirable
- Confidence to advise and negotiate with clients using business acumen
- Client confidentiality and discretion maintained
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management
- Forward planning (ability to anticipate future outcomes)
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to manage time and to work on several projects concurrently
- MS office and other relevant IT systems expertise
