Job Summary
Develop and implement effective corporate compliance programs that detect and prevent legal and regulatory non-compliance while mitigating business risks across the District. Oversee the Risk Management, Corporate Compliance, and Ethics and Internal Audit departments, including their budgets, work plans, and annual risk assessments. Foster a District-wide culture of compliance by leading training initiatives, managing the compliance hotline, and conducting independent investigations into suspected violations. Provide regular reporting to the Board of Managers and senior leadership on compliance efforts, fraud reduction strategies, and performance improvement actions. Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local laws to ensure all operations adhere to regulatory guidance and JPS policies.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Juris Doctorate or related field
- Minimum ten (10) years' experience in enterprise risk management and corporate compliance in a healthcare environment
- Minimum of seven (7) years leadership experience
- Prior experience with healthcare systems, health plans or managed care organizations
- Management experience in a health care-related organization or teaching hospital
- Ability to establish and maintain a professional relationship with physicians, supervisors and other hospital staff
- Demonstrates an expert-level understanding of range of qualitative modeling techniques used in risk analysis
