Job Summary
Develop and implement corporate compliance programs that detect and prevent legal and regulatory non-compliance while mitigating business risks across all varieties. Oversee the periodic revision of the District's compliance program, manage investigations, and maintain a reporting system for employees and outside agencies. Foster a District-wide culture of compliance by creating an active corporate compliance committee and leading governance, risk, and compliance discussions. Approve audit purposes, budgets, and reports; monitor risk assessments of business and health care delivery activities; and independently investigate matters related to compliance, including internal investigations and corrective actions. Provide regular reporting to the Board of Managers and senior leadership on compliance efforts, privacy, ethics, and audits. Collaborate with Human Resources to develop multifaceted training programs and consult with General Counsel on difficult legal issues.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Juris Doctorate or related field
- Minimum ten (10) years' experience in enterprise risk management and corporate compliance in a healthcare environment
- Minimum of seven (7) years leadership experience
- Prior experience with healthcare systems, health plans or managed care organizations
- Management experience in a health care-related organization or teaching hospital
- Ability to establish and maintain a professional relationship with physicians, supervisors and other hospital staff
- Demonstrates an expert-level understanding of range of qualitative modeling techniques used in risk analysis
