Job Summary
Monitor driver safety daily and supervise pickups and deliveries to meet service center standards for efficiency and cost. Manage driver work schedules, time off requests, and shift meetings while utilizing proprietary systems to track shipment locations and communicate continuously with drivers, customers, and team members. Complete required company and government forms including shipping manifests, freight bills, and exception forms. Provide constructive feedback on productivity metrics and handle disciplinary actions as needed. Ensure compliance with DOT hours of service, OSHA, and federal safety regulations while inspecting tools and equipment. Works regularly scheduled shifts with flexibility for customer pick-up needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years working operations experience preferably in the transportation industry
- Supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of AS400, Microsoft Office, DYMS and BLU systems
- Knowledge of general DOT regulations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work regularly scheduled shift as well as another shift/s as needed
- Ability to work depending upon customer pick up and deliveries scheduled
Desired Qualifications
- Some College preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
