Job Summary
Sustaining Engineer, Internet Solutions at SONIFI — independent diagnosis and resolution of complex enterprise networking issues with significant customer impact; lead advanced escalations in partnership with Engineering, Product, Field Support, OEMs, and partners; perform advanced diagnostics including log analysis and packet capture across Wi‐Fi, TV, Casting, and IoT; plan, execute, and validate system upgrades and maintenance activities with risk and customer impact assessment; provide on-site technical leadership during critical incidents; develop and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources; collaborate cross-functionally to align technical solutions with business objectives and customer requirements; maintain accurate technical documentation in Salesforce and other internal systems; preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, CWNP, CompTIA Network+ or Security+ and OEM certifications such as Ruckus, Aruba, Fortinet, or Nomadix.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise networking environments, with a strong focus on wireless networks in hospitality or multi-site enterprises
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including L2/L3 switching, WLAN architectures, wireless protocols, gateways, firewalls, TCP/IP, OSI, RADIUS, LDAP, and packet analysis
- System-level experience with Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, scripting, and AWS preferred
- Proven experience serving as a technical escalation point and exercising independent technical judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and explain complex concepts
- Strong customer service skills and ability to remain composed under pressure
- High awareness of network security best practices
- Self-starter, collaborative team player, and customer advocate
