Job Summary
Sustainability Lead (Site Operations) responsible for coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to develop integrated sustainability strategies, deliver certification projects (LEED/Mostadam/Estidama/WELL), and drive carbon reduction programs that support Net Zero commitments. The role involves client liaison, project management, and technical delivery from initial engagement to final reporting, with opportunities to mentor staff, contribute to business development, and shape the service offering in a fast-paced, regionally-focused practice. Requires a degree in a relevant subject, chartered or professional membership, 11+ years of experience, and credentials in sustainability certifications.
Required Qualifications
- 11+ years of experience across sustainability development projects and buildings, including project management and business development experience
- Rails and transportation experience
- Regional experience of multi-disciplinary work in large-scale master planning, design and infrastructure projects
- Strong carbon and net zero expertise; capable of leading projects related to sustainability framework and strategy formulation, decarbonization roadmaps, NZEB and building design strategies, life-cycle assessments, carbon accounting, and Net Zero Carbon roadmaps
- Experience with green building certifications such as LEED, Mostadam, Estidama, WELL, etc.
- Credentials: LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) with specialty; Mostadam, Estidama; WELL Accredited Professional; Low Carbon Consultant/Low Carbon Assessor; Residential/Commercial Energy Auditor; or other sustainability credentials
- Excellent analytic and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively; willingness to travel to Atkins or client locations
- Knowledge of international regulatory frameworks and standards (advantage)
- Be flexible and able to work across multiple Atkins or client office locations
- Strong reporting, client liaison, and project delivery capabilities
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to business development activities (bid writing)
