Job Summary
Sustainability-LCA Specialist (1 year contractor) responsible for delivering Life Cycle Assessment capabilities for SHL Medical's Taiwan operations. Conducts cradle-to-gate LCA calculations for medical device platforms using tools such as SimaPro, GaBi, and OpenLCA; develops ISO 14040/PAS 2090-aligned procedures; improves data quality with suppliers; supports sales with product-specific data and SHL's circularity strategy; trains internal stakeholders on LCA and carbon accounting fundamentals; collaborates with procurement to evaluate environmental impacts; bilingual documentation in English and Chinese. Desirable background includes 3+ years of practical LCA experience in industrial manufacturing, knowledge of ISO 14067/ISO 14044/PAS2090, and familiarity with ISCC PLUS and pharmaceutical/chemical manufacturing contexts.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of practical experience conducting LCAs for industrial products or manufacturing environments
- Working knowledge of LCA tools (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA)
- Frameworks and standards such as ISO 14067, ISO 14044, PAS2090
- Strong analytical skills and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel)
- Good English language skills for communication and writing reports
- Good communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
