Job Summary
Lead local sustainability compliance at Drax Biomass pellet plants by actively participating in internal and external third-party audits. Conduct in-woods field inspections and source desk reviews, including Rapid Risk Assessments, to ensure feedstock production adheres to Best Management Practices and certification requirements. Engage with the forest industry and local conservation partners while facilitating supplier questionnaire reviews to align sustainability expectations. Serve as the sustainability point of contact for the fibre procurement team and support the Sustainability Manager with ESG and annual reporting data. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Forestry or Natural Resources and proficiency in Excel, with experience in 3Log, ArcGIS, and forest certification ideal. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field in Natural Resources
- Applied knowledge of forest management, forest sourcing, or natural resource management
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as collaborative abilities
Desired Qualifications
