Sustainability Forester

Lead local sustainability compliance at Drax Biomass pellet plants by actively participating in internal and external third-party audits. Conduct in-woods field inspections and source desk reviews, analyzing Rapid Risk Assessments to ensure feedstock production adheres to Best Management Practices, certification requirements, and company policies. Engage with the forest industry, including SFI Implementation Committees, and collaborate with local conservation partners to support Drax's goal of becoming a world leader in sustainable biomass sourcing. Serve as the sustainability point of contact for the fibre procurement team and facilitate supplier questionnaire reviews to align sustainability expectations. Assist the Sustainability Manager in providing critical information for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and annual reporting while supporting certification program activities to maintain certificate standing. This role supports the broader mission of transforming energy generation and driving change toward a zero-carbon future.
