Job Summary
Conduct in-woods field inspections, source desk reviews, and Rapid Risk Assessments to ensure feedstock production adheres to Best Management Practices and certification requirements. Actively participate in internal and external third-party audits while engaging with the forest industry and local conservation partners. Facilitate supplier questionnaire reviews to align sustainability expectations and serve as the sustainability point of contact for the fibre procurement team. Support the Sustainability Manager in overseeing chain-of-custody procedures, SBP certifications, and ESG reporting data. Collaborate with industry partners to help Drax achieve its goal of becoming a world leader in sustainable biomass sourcing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field in Natural Resources
- Applied knowledge of forest management, forest sourcing, or natural resource management
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as collaborative abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with forest certification
- Experience with 3Log and/or other data management systems
- Familiarity with ArcGIS
