Sustainability Forester

Lead local sustainability compliance at Drax Biomass pellet plants by actively participating in internal and external third-party audits. Conduct in-woods field inspections and source desk reviews, including Rapid Risk Assessments, to ensure feedstock production adheres to Best Management Practices and certification requirements. Engage with the forest industry and local conservation partners while facilitating supplier questionnaire reviews to align sustainability expectations. Serve as the sustainability point of contact for the fibre procurement team and support the certification program to maintain certificate standing. Provide critical information for Environmental, Social, and Governance reporting. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Forestry or Natural Resources with applied knowledge of forest management and certification.
