Job Summary
Conduct in-woods field inspections, source desk reviews, and Rapid Risk Assessments to ensure feedstock production adheres to Best Management Practices and certification requirements. Actively participate in internal and external third-party audits while engaging with the forest industry and local conservation partners. Facilitate supplier questionnaire reviews, serve as the sustainability point of contact for the fibre procurement team, and support the Sustainability Manager in providing critical information for ESG and annual reporting. Maintain chain-of-custody procedures and SBP certifications in alignment with Drax's zero-carbon energy goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry or a related field in Natural Resources
- Applied knowledge of forest management, forest sourcing, or natural resource management
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as collaborative abilities
Desired Qualifications
- experience with forest certification
- Experience with 3Log and/or other data management systems
- Familiarity with ArcGIS
