Sustainability Forester

Lead local sustainability compliance at Drax Biomass pellet plants by actively participating in internal and external third-party audits. Conduct in-woods field inspections and source desk reviews, evaluating Rapid Risk Assessments to ensure feedstock production adheres to Best Management Practices, certification requirements, and company policies. Engage with the forest industry and local conservation partners while facilitating supplier questionnaire reviews to align sustainability expectations. Serve as the sustainability point of contact for the fibre procurement team and support certification program activities to maintain certificate standing. Assist the Sustainability Manager in providing critical information for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and annual reporting. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Forestry or Natural Resources with applied knowledge of forest management and certification experience.
