Job Summary
Sustainability Engagement Program Manager responsible for leading the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of campus-wide sustainability programs (e.g., Green Office, Green Labs, Green Residence, Green Volunteers) and related trainings/certificates; build partnerships with students, employees, and campus units; translate institutional priorities into scalable engagement initiatives; plan a calendar of campaigns/events (Earth Month, Waste Reduction Month, sustainable transportation) and support behavioural change toward campus sustainability goals; requires program design, facilitation, data tracking, evaluation, and collaboration across multiple campus stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required (in environmental science, studies, policy, sustainability, or a related field)
- 3-5 years of professional work experience in sustainability programming, behaviour change initiatives, or employ/student engagement
- Experience designing and delivering programs, training, or initiatives that drive participation and behavioural change
- Experience working in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment; experience in a post-secondary academic setting is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of sustainability concepts relevant to a post-secondary institution (waste, energy/emissions, water, transportation, sustainable food systems)
- Knowledge of behaviour change frameworks (e.g., Community-Based Social Marketing) and program design/evaluation
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills; ability to engage diverse audiences
- Ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders (students, staff, faculty, community partners)
- Experience tracking participation or engagement data to inform program improvements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with deadlines
