Job Summary
Advise sustainability teams and CFOs on designing sustainable management and ESG reporting frameworks. Translate complex regulatory challenges like CSRD and SBTi into actionable data, process, and system architectures. Collaborate with finance experts and specialized tooling vendors to build repeatable, auditable ESG reporting solutions. Guide clients from initial ambition to functional operational systems. Contribute to Finext's broader proposition on sustainability and integrated reporting while identifying opportunities with existing and new clients. Work across the Netherlands and Northwest Europe with a team of over 100 professionals in an informal, flat-structure environment.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in (business) consultancy on the subject of sustainability management and ESG reporting
- Extensive knowledge of ESG laws and regulations and reporting standards (CSRD, ESRS, EU taxonomy)
- Affinity with IT solutions for ESG and integrated reporting; understanding of how data, systems and processes come together
- Ability to translate complex sustainability issues into concrete, executable solutions
- Pragmatic, results-oriented advisory style and the ability to switch between substantive and commercial
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Willingness to work with clients throughout the Netherlands, and occasionally in Northwest Europe
