Job Summary
Identify new market opportunities for sustainable plastics and source quality waste for recycling. Build relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, to drive sustainable practice adoption. Develop and promote eco-friendly plastic solutions to meet growing consumer demand while ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements. Proactively monitor legislative changes to prevent legal and financial repercussions, enhancing brand value and reputation through innovative, environmentally responsible solutions. This one-year contract role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Sustainability, or Engineering, along with 10+ years of commercial experience in sustainable plastics. Travel is approximately 20%.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master of Science Economics, Sustainability Business, Engineering or similar or University degree
- demonstratable experience in a leading role within (a) circular business(es) for more than 10 years
- 10+ years of commercial / business experience in a plastics (or better) sustainable plastics environment
- Familiar with Sustainability technologies, LCA and product carbon footprints
- Strong Business acumen (via certification, degrees or related business experience)
- Strong Collaborative skills
- Proactive mindset and can-do attitude
- Can influence and steer decisions
- Excel, Innovation Management/Project Management skills
- Flexibility to travel ca 20%
- English language proficiency at professional level
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of plastics processing, design and properties
- French language proficiency
