Sustainability Advisor, APAC Markets (Mandarin Speaker)

Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of clients by serving as a member of the Sustainability Advisory team, ensuring proactive engagement and timely responses to inquiries. Build relationships with senior executives to provide tailored guidance on enhancing environmental and social disclosures aligned with evolving regulatory requirements and frameworks. Monitor developments in rating methodologies and investor expectations to identify key disclosure trends, then develop high-quality client presentations and reports using ISS-Corporate data platforms. Facilitate discussions with legal, investor relations, and executive stakeholders regarding reporting practices while contributing to thought leadership initiatives. This role involves limited travel (approximately 10% or less) for client meetings and conferences. Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sustainability, Environmental Studies, Economics, Public Policy, or a related field
- 1-5 years of experience in sustainability reporting, ESG strategy, sustainability research, sustainability advisory/consulting, responsible investing, or other client-facing sustainability-related roles
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese
- Familiarity with Corporate Sustainability Reporting, and Responsible Investing
- Understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, including ISSB (including SASB), ESRS, CSRD, TCFD, TNFD, GRI, and other relevant frameworks
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sustainability data and identify actionable insights and recommendations
- Proficiency in Excel and experience using data analysis tools to synthesize, analyze, and communicate complex information
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to learn evolving sustainability topics, regulatory developments, and market trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex sustainability topics clearly and effectively
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior client executives, management teams, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
- Demonstrated poise under pressure and a solutions-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
