Job Summary
Sushi Trainee needed at Wegmans to learn and assist with preparing fresh sushi in-store. You’ll work with seasoned sushi chefs, helping to slice fish, cut vegetables, and prepare sushi rice, while producing nigiri, sashimi, and rolls according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety, perform tasks in a fast-paced setting, and ensure quality presentation and customer satisfaction. This is a part-time role with morning, afternoon, and evening shifts, including weekends; applicants must be 18 or older. Training will be provided to develop traditional sushi techniques and on-the-job skills.
