Job Summary
Prepare traditional Japanese sushi rice, chop, slice, and fillet various fish and vegetables while maintaining strict food safety standards. Inspect fruits, vegetables, and fish for quality, reporting sub-standard items to the STL immediately. Assemble sushi dishes according to established guidelines for quality, portion size, and presentation. Sterilize all utensils and equipment before every use and maintain a clean work environment to prevent contamination. Greet customers and communicate to ensure they feel valued. This entry-level developmental role requires a minimum of six months in food service, sushi rolling experience preferred, and a valid food handler's license.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months in the food service industry
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Valid food handler's license

- The ability to stand for long periods of time
- The ability to work under pressure with sound judgement
