Job Summary
Develop educational materials and presentations, provide research for local and federal nutrition-related policies, and answer nutrition questions from program participants and the general public. Assist with planning the annual International Conference on Nutrition in Medicine and support educational programs such as Food for Life, the National Diabetes Program, and Let's Beat Breast Cancer. Interns will receive orientation and ongoing mentorship from staff or registered dietitians, with opportunities for course credit. August participants may travel to Washington, D.C. for the conference. This full-time, eight-week remote internship offers paid compensation at $18.40 per hour to students currently enrolled in graduate-level nutrition, public health, or dietetic internship programs.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in graduate level studies in the fields of nutrition or public health or in a dietetic internship program
- A strong knowledge of plant-based nutrition
- Excellent research skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Will be living in and working from California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington state, and Washington, D.C. for the duration of the internship
- Interns serving during the month of August will travel to Washington, D.C. for the Physicians Committee-sponsored annual International Conference on Nutrition in Medicine (ICNM)
