Job Summary
Provide comprehensive, trauma-informed case management and crisis intervention for children and families, including immediate safety planning, family preservation services, and in-home support. Conduct daily assessments of child safety, coordinate referrals with legal and law enforcement stakeholders, and document progress toward risk reduction and service goals. Respond to crisis calls, transport clients to hospitals or shelters, and maintain a caseload in accordance with federal and state regulatory standards. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, including on-call shifts, while traveling approximately 75 percent of the time throughout the region. Participate in weekly case staffing and supervision, and engage with community stakeholders to ensure services are available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, or closely related field of study
- Personal or professional experience with victims of human trafficking, victims of child abuse and neglect, or youth experiencing homelessness and/or addiction
- 2-3 years case management and/or crisis intervention experience
- Current licenses and certificates required for the position including but not limited to First Aid, CPR, Emergency Behaviour Intervention, Office of the Attorney General Sexual Abuse Program, State Driver License, or Other
- Current auto insurance
- Proof of work eligibility status
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens
- Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background checks
- Ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English
- Ability to continuously demonstrate the 12 essential characteristics of an effective advocate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and always maintain emotional control and professional composure
- Ability to maintain computer literacy required to meet the responsibilities of the position
- Ability to work effectively and without intensive supervision both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to adapt immediately to changes in the field
- Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
- Must be available for travel approximately 75 percent of the time throughout the region, including overnight stays
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor, including on-call assigned shifts
