Job Summary
Set up GPS control, layout and set grades for drillers, and log blast holes per GPS while quantifying shots by creating existing and design surfaces. Generate quantity reports using Agtek, create CSV files as needed, and communicate and correct deviations from the mine plan such as over digging or high benches. Anticipate potential survey problems and respond with timely solutions, ensuring compliance with mine site safety and environmental policies. Travel with blast crews across Arizona, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, and California to perform these duties. Operate TopTopon equipment and demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment while working in adverse seasonal conditions.

- Strong computer skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Travel is required
- Must be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion
- Able to wear and demonstrate to employees the use of personal protective equipment including hardhat, steel-toed footwear, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves (rubber, leather & cloth), and/or any other equipment required to do the job assigned safely
- Ability to climb & traverse muck piles, lift up to 50 lbs., work in adverse seasonal weather conditions, and carry survey equipment
- Able to read and interpret various safety warning signs and product MSDS, tags, and labels
- Ability to distinguish various colors as they relate to safety warning signs, tags, and labels
- Able to operate a telephone and mine phone/radio with sufficient voice and hearing to carry on a conversation for the purpose of communicating Warehouse information, issuing directives, and providing feedback, to management and subordinates
- Able to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms

Desired Qualifications
- Related field experience in surveying (preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of using TopCon (preferred)
