Job Summary
Oversee the daily functions of the survey crew, including set up and completion on job sites under supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor. Interpret blueprints, plans, and deeds to lead the team, while operating all survey equipment and performing field calculations to report data to the Org Manager. Manage crew time and schedules, drive the company vehicle to and from sites, and ensure proper reporting of daily work logs. Requires on-time attendance, ability to travel and stay overnight based on workload, and physical readiness for outside elements, lifting 50lbs, and standing for eight hours.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years verifiable experience in running a crew in surveying commercial and/or heavy industrial construction stakeout
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to read and comprehend measurements
- Intermediate math skills which include trigonometry and coordinate geometry
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to travel and stay overnight based on the work load of the Survey Department
- Ability to work in the outside elements of the field up to 100% of the time
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Ability to remain standing for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and walk long distances
- Ability to bend, stoop and climb on a ladder
- Ability to drive a company vehicle to and from job sites
