Job Summary
Oversee the daily functions of the survey crew, including setting up and completing site operations under the supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor. Interpret blueprints, plans, and deeds to lead the team, while operating all survey equipment and computing field calculations to reduce data for the Org Manager. Manage crew time and schedules, drive the company vehicle to and from job sites, and ensure proper reporting of daily work logs. Requires on-time attendance and the ability to travel and stay overnight based on workload. Must be able to work outdoors 100% of the time, lift 50lbs, stand for eight hours, and climb ladders. Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years verifiable experience in running a crew in surveying commercial and/or heavy industrial construction stakeout
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Be able to read and comprehend measurements
- Intermediate math skills which include trigonometry and coordinate geometry
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to travel and stay overnight based on the work load of the Survey Department
- Ability to work in the outside elements of the field up to 100% of the time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Required to remain standing for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and walk long distances
- Must be able to bend, stoop and climb on a ladder
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle to and from job sites
- On time and consistent attendance
