Job Summary
Oversee the daily functions of the survey crew, including set up and completion at job sites under direct supervision. Interpret blueprints, plans, and deeds to lead the team while operating all survey equipment to report data and reduce logs to the Org Manager. Drive the company vehicle to and from sites, understanding and computing field calculations relative to collected data. Manage crew time and schedules effectively while maintaining on-time attendance. Travel to support various project needs, including staying overnight based on workload, and work in outside elements up to 100% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Five (5) years verifiable experience in running a crew in surveying commercial and/or heavy industrial construction stakeout
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Be able to read and comprehend measurements
- Intermediate math skills which include trigonometry and coordinate geometry
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to travel and stay overnight based on the work load of the Survey Department
- Ability to work in the outside elements of the field up to 100% of the time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Required to remain standing for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and walk long distances
- Must be able to bend, stoop and climb on a ladder
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle to and from job sites
