Job Summary
Conduct underground survey pickups, mark-ups, and routine survey activities while producing accurate mine plans for operational and statutory requirements. Deliver survey data and design files to machine guidance systems and mine planning, managing data in line with legislative and site standards. Calibrate and maintain survey equipment and software, working closely with the Technical Services team to support production and development activities. This role involves reporting to the Registered Mine Surveyor at Whitehaven's Narrabri Underground Operations, where you will utilize modern technology including Trimble equipment, GPS, and Civil 3D to drive safe and efficient mining delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in underground coal mine surveying
- A tertiary qualification in Surveying or an equivalent discipline
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and modern surveying software
- Proficiency using Trimble survey equipment, GPS and total stations
Desired Qualifications
- A desire to continue developing your career, with support to work towards Registered Mine Surveyor status
