Job Summary
Conduct surveying of ore stockpiles and rock dumps while providing accurate line and grade to construction and mining crews. Plan blast drill hole positions, shovel digging lines, ramp gradients, and berm designs, and perform aerial drone surveys of the mine site. Assist the supervisor in calculating and checking month-end production figures and support mine planning projects. Requires a valid G driver's license, proficiency in GPS, AutoCAD, or Deswik, and a Survey Technician or Mine Technologist diploma. Operates in a 14/14 rotation across office, field, and underground environments at Alamos Gold's Island Gold District in northern Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a Survey Technician Diploma program or a Mine Technologist Program with relevant fields from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Possession of a valid G driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, GPS, Autocad and/or Deswick
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred 5 years of experience in underground mining projects
- Experience with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV)
