Job Summary

Perform field survey requests, take precise measurements, and set up survey instruments. Interpret data from construction drawings to execute layout, grade checks, and as-built surveys. Install stakes for piles and formwork, prepare field sketches, and mentor Survey Assistants while collaborating with civil crews. Work outdoors in heavy equipment environments, adhering to Ledcor's safety program and compliance policies. Schedule includes 14 days on, 7 days off, with 10-12 hour days and overtime after eight hours. Requires 3-5 years of field experience, a valid Class 5 license, and proficiency with Trimble robotic total stations. Ledcor builds infrastructure across oil and gas, mining, and transportation sectors.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3- 5 years of field surveying experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a diploma in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related fields of education
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong technical background in surveying
  • Attention to detail with the ability to recognize & effectively communicate discrepancies
  • Proficiency with Trimble robotic total stations and Trimble GPS equipment and strong familiarity with Trimble Access
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
  • Hold a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a clean 3-year drivers record
  • CSO/BSO and WHMIS 2015 (training will be provided)
  • Strong understanding of construction practices and site layout
  • 14 days on, 7 days off, working 10-12 hour days
  • Overtime rates apply after 8 hours worked per day
  • Work will be outdoors and in various weather conditions
