Job Summary
Lead the Bechtel EVA Copper surveying team to support the EVA Copper processing plant project. Responsibilities include accurate layout of construction work, recording field data per specifications, establishing and maintaining the project’s survey control network, performing network least squares adjustments, providing civil project completion documentation (as-built records), supporting machine control technology implementation, performing or checking survey computations, and preparing survey CAD drawings including Digital Terrain Models and volume computations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and substantial relevant experience; proficiency with Robotic Total Stations, GNSS, Trimble equipment, and Survey CAD; ability to train and supervise a team; strong communication and collaboration skills; and FIFO deployment to Cloncurry, QLD on a 2/1 basis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in Surveying or a related field
- 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
- Experience with multi-disciplined field engineering surveying including earthwork, excavation, concrete, structural steel, mechanical, piping
- Proficiency with Robotic Total Stations, Digital Levels, GNSS survey systems
- Experience using Trimble survey equipment and Survey CAD software
- Ability to prepare survey CAD drawings, Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and volumes computations
- Demonstrated ability to lead a surveying team and coordinate with field engineering and field supervision
- Knowledge of construction survey principles and practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with project assessments, improvements, and machine control technology applications
- Familiarity with Bechtel EPC project delivery methods
- Strong reporting and documentation capabilities (as-built records)
- FIFO rotation (2/1) to Cloncurry, QLD
