Job Summary
Lead a team of surveyors in the field, overseeing data collection and the preparation of maps, plans, and legal descriptions. Ensure all work meets necessary standards and regulations while communicating with clients to provide progress updates. Interpret survey results, decide on methods and equipment, and maintain or update survey tools to keep the team properly trained and equipped. Collaborate with the Construction Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget. This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and heat, with occasional exposure to loud noises and construction hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Surveyor or equivalent role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical skills, including experience with survey equipment and software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel frequently
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
