Job Summary
Lead a team of surveyors in the field, overseeing data collection, map preparation, and legal description creation while ensuring all work meets necessary standards and regulations. Interpret survey results to decide on methods and equipment, communicate with clients for progress updates, and coordinate closely with the Construction Manager to keep projects on time and within budget. Maintain and update survey equipment, ensuring the team is properly trained and equipped for the job. This role requires working outdoors in various extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold, with occasional lifting of heavy equipment and exposure to construction hazards. Candidates must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with survey equipment and software.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Surveyor or equivalent role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical skills, including experience with survey equipment and software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to travel frequently
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
