Job Summary
Surveyor role in a geotechnical/construction setting performing grade setting, excavation, and earth-moving tasks. Responsibilities include operating GPS equipment (including Trimble systems) and heavy equipment, reading and complying with safety plans and SDS, coordinating tasks via radio, surveying and mapping site data, and ensuring quality control. Requires 5+ years of grade-setting experience, a valid driver’s license, the ability to pass post-offer drug screen/background checks, and FAA Drone License as a professional capability to safely operate drones for site photos and survey data. Based in Hubbard, TX, with physical duties including lifting and extended hours as needed, and a focus on safety and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Ability to pass mandatory post offer drug screen, background check and physical
- 5+ years of experience in grade setting and layout in the horizontal construction field
- 5+ years of experience using Trimble GPS equipment
- 5+ years of experience setting grades, slopes, and understanding cut and fills
- FAA Drone License – to safely operate drones to gather site photos and survey site data
